Chaplaincy is unique in the service it provides. As Chaplains, we provide pastoral support for emotional, social and spiritual needs. We show unconditional love and non-judgmental acceptance towards all people. We work together with other support services, referring on deeper issues and always seeking to enhance the wellbeing of the school community.
Some of the things I’ve being doing are:
- Teaching students to play chess and other board games (great for the mind!).
- Running ‘seasons for growth’ program; students learn skills to help manage grief, loss & change in their lives.
- Social Emotional Learning using the ‘friends for life’ program, building resilience.
- Celebrating Chappy week during the month of May with pancakes and other fun activities; with the help of some wonderful volunteers.
- Attending and supporting special school events: such as art extravaganza & school bush dance.
- Having prayer time with volunteers; praying for the needs, health and wellbeing of the school community.
- Connecting with varies churches to share and thank our chaplaincy supporters.
